NSCDC in Ondo State synergizes with jamb to combat extortion and malpractice 1

Ahead of the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) The Ondo State  Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC has warned candidates to desist from all forms of Examination Malpractices or risk  arrest.

The State Commandant of the Corps ,Philip Ayuba gave the warning during a courtesy visit to the Head office of the Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) in Akure, the Ondo Capital .

Mr Ayuba said the command would not hesitate to arrest and prosecute any Service provider or group of persons who dare extort innocent students in the course of obtaining Form or Registration.

He said combating Examination malpractices during the UTME is non negotiable as NSCDC operatives will be deployed to the Fourteen (14) Accredited Centres in Ondo State.

He therefore enjoined all Parent and Guardians to desist from desperate acts that could lure their ward into Examination Malpractices.

He said…”Our officers and men have been deployed across the State to monitor the sales of UTME Forms and who ever is caught selling the Forms above the Stipulated amount as directed by the Federal Government will definitely face the wrath of the Law”.

The state Jamb Coordinator, Mr. Babatunde Bamisaye commended the efforts of the NSCDC in providing adequate security and ensuring discipline during the past UTME stressing that all necessary provisions have  been made to ensure that this year examination is conducted in serene environments across the State.

The Ondo State Commandant was further conducted round the various sessions of the JAMB office ranging from the SERVICOM, Accounts, Professional Registration Centres and the Computer Base Test Support Service Unit.
