The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has appointed former Super Eagles’ defender and captain Joseph Yobo as the assistant coach of the team.
He replaces Imama Amapakabo in three-time African champions’ technical crew.
It would be recalled that the former Enyimba and Kano Pillars coach was found guilty of receiving an amount of money reported to be around 1,000 dollars.
Yusuf was caught collecting the money to influence his team’s selection for the 2017 WAFU Cup in Ghana.
The NFF Ethics Committee sanctioned him with a fine of 5,000 Dollars and a one-year ban from all football-related activities.
